Snake Removal in the Triangle
The copperhead is the venomous species of primary concern. NC has one of the highest rates of copperhead bites in the country. Common non-venomous species include black rat snakes, black racers, corn snakes, and garter snakes.
When to Call
Call immediately if you find a snake inside your home, in your garage, near doorways, or if you suspect it may be venomous. Don't try to handle it yourself — this is when most bites occur.
Snake Prevention
Keep grass trimmed, remove rock and brush piles, seal foundation gaps, and address rodent problems (rodents are a primary food source drawing snakes to properties).
